Abstract

The purpose of this story is to introduce children to the idea of documenting Louisiana Folktales. This story is appropriate and aligned to ELA and Social Studies Standards from the Louisiana Believes curriculum and is appropriate for elementary aged students. Va T’en Rougarou or in English translation, Go Away Rougarou, can be used in the classroom to engage students in problem solving situations.
